Bat Benefits

Cat Bats have dominated the BBCOR scene throughout the past decade and Marucci anticipates keeping it that way with the CatX! Although it might seem tough to find any room for improvement from previous models, the CatX Connect includes a few new features that will take your game to the next level!

For the CatX Connect, Marucci completely re-shaped the AZR Alloy barrel profile to offer a slightly more balanced swing weight when compared to the Cat9 Connect, with a wider sweet spot and a more forgiving barrel. That alloy barrel is locked into the composite handle by the OLS (Outer Locking System) Connector Piece. This connection system incorporates a threaded groove that internally locks the barrel and handle together. And then they complete the connection with the external sleeve that puts an extra hold on the connection point.

The CatX Connect is also equipped with Marucci's new S-40 Composite handle. This handle is ~8-10% stiffer than prior Cat Connect bats, which will transfer energy faster from the batter to the ball resulting in unmatched performance! In addition, the CatX Connect includes a new custom-sized handle taper for a more ergonomic fit and improved bat control.
