A number of years back, Rawlings decided to put a composite material end-cap on this Velo bat. The composite end-cap is able to make the bat feel lighter at the barrel end and leads to faster swing speeds from players. Well, Rawlings has made improvements on that end cap and since last year, VELO bats now have the Accelerated Carbon Performance (ACP) end cap that delivers a 2" long end cap of composite material. 2 inches is super long for an end cap and with the end cap being made of all composite material, this bat should feel light as a feather. Power hitters and contact hitters that love balanced bats should be able to pick up this bat and see crazy-good performance.
One last note to mention is that this bat will feature a new profile that leads to a longer and flatter barrel shape when compared to previous Velo bats. As well, the handle should be thinner to allow for a better feel when gripping the bat PLUS more control!
